I am a Wedding Photojournalist based in Kendal, Cumbria, a stones throw from the beautiful English Lake District. I mainly work throughout the North of England including Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Northumberland, Cheshire and Scotland. My background as a Press Photographer led me naturally into the world of Documentary Wedding Photography and Location Portraiture.

Photography has been a passion since I was a child and I have been a full time professional photographer since 1987. My desire to be creative is stronger now than at any point in my career and the pleasure I get from presenting clients with their own personal photographs is unmeasurable.

Steve Barber is an experienced Lake District wedding photographer based in Kendal, Cumbria. Handy for the M6 motorway he also works as a wedding photographer throughout the North of England in Lancashire, Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland, Durham, Tyne & Wear. Steve loves Scotland and is happy to photograph tour weddinging in Dumfries, and Galloway, Lothian and the Borders and recently photographed a wedding on the Scottish Island of Colonsay at Colonsay House and Gardens before a reception at The Colonsay Hotel. One of his favourite venues is Comlongan Castle. Other Scottish destinations Steve is familiar with include The Isle of Skye, The Isle of MullHe also covers wedding further afield and has a base in the Midlands, Sutton Coldfield, so is available for wedding photography in the Birmingham area. Steve is a wedding photojournalist and specialises in contemporary and reportage wedding photography. As a wedding photojournalist he works quickly, quietly and unobtrusively in order to capture the emption of your special day. Most of the photographs in your wedding album will be unposed and will be a mixture of colour and black & white images. As a former newspaper staff photographer and picture editor, Steve is a highly experienced photographer and is a full-time professional photographer.
