What will you remember?

Your wedding day will be full of emotion from laughter and tears to anticipation, relief, pride, surprise, and of course love. Weddings bring people together who may not have seen each other for many years but they are also about celebrating the relationships with the people we see every day. It is the story about one day in your life that you will not want to forget and the best way to remember is through photography.
For some people wedding photography is lower on their priority list than the choice of wine on the table, the cake, the suits, the dress or the honeymoon. Wedding photography is the most likely expense a bride & groom will try to cut back on. For the sake of a few hundred pounds some people will even risk not having any pictures at all. Not everyone will take that risk though and they will want their story recording in a truthful and honest way so they can remember their day in years to come.
If every wedding is unique, why do so many wedding albums look the same? Traditional wedding photography still has its place but now you can have an album so special you will not want it hidden at the back of a cupboard! As a full-time professional Press Photographer for over 20 years, Steve Barber decided to embark on a career as a Wedding Photojournalist. Feeling the best pictures were being missed, Steve became disillusioned with lists of stage managed group shots. Spontaneity cannot be created so Steve shoots alone using two small but very high quality cameras so he can work quickly, quietly and unobtrusively. He prefers to use ambient light rather than flash and, even after spending three hours a day for 10 years in a darkroom, loves black & white photography.
Every client will be presented with a beautiful book recording the real-time events throughout the most important day of your life. Those special moments you share together with the people you care most about. Formal group shots, although important, are kept to a minimum and then Steve likes to spend some private time with just the Bride & Groom to get some creative portraits. It may be by a lake, beside some stunning architecture, in a forest or in the middle of a busy street. You only get once chance to capture those extra special signature shots and spend a few private minutes together before returning to your guests.
